CHINA'S ONE BILLION STRONG TV AUDIENCE
Local TV networks in China (like Human Tv, Guanxi TV, SMG) have gone up-market as they start competing head-to-head with Central Television (CCTV 12 stations, national coverage, 900 million viewers and high ratings) for ad revenue and urban viewers. Considering that by 2015 China intends to end analog broadcasts, local TV stations might have a bright future ahead: with DTV they could reach a wider audience and offer new interactive services to viewers.
If you miss English-speaking programs in Shanghai, you should install a satellite receiver dish outside your window pointing to the Thailand UBS Satellite or Philippine Dream Satellite.

THE PAST IS THE FUTURE :)
The P-Phone is a retro-fashioned phone that you plug into your mobile phone. Put the phone in your pocket and walk down the street talking on a 1970s handset instead. You can also plug your P-Phone into your computer for making Skype calls :) It costs 600 RMB, approx 60 euros.
