DYNAMIC IN-GAME ADVERTISING
In 2004, companies paid $200 million to place ads in games. According to DFC Intelligence this figure is set to grow fivefold by 2008.
Several firms have unveiled dynamic-in-game advertising solutions where ads in games have become more effective because they are tailored to the players' ages, location, or even the time of day that a game is played:
Massive Incorporated (Massive Advertising Network)
IGA Partners
DoubleFusion
Bidamic
Developer of games insert code into their games that dictates where ads will appear and how often the ads can be altered. In-game advertising companies will take care of updating the ads via their server.
