A NEW RANGE OF NOKIA NSERIES PHONES

The Nokia N-series phones are sexy :) But as a converged device for shooting quality pictures, Nokia has a long way to go if it wants to outdo Samsung, which is introducing in the Korean market (CDMA with EV-DO high-speed data) the 7-megapixel SCH-V770 featuring a 3x optical zoom (7.8 to 23.4mm), 5x digital zoom, and the possibility to add a wide-angle converter lens.
The Nokia N90 is a tri-band phone for GSM 900/1800/1900, EDGE and WCDMA networks, will have a 2-megapixel camera and is expected to be available in the second quarter of 2005. The N70 phone will hit the shelves in the third quarter, and the N91 multimedia phone with a 4-gigabyte hard drive for music files is due out by the end of the year.
The latest Nokia Nseries, capitalizes on the convergence of imaging, smartphone features and 3G. 3G-enabled features are two-way video calling, video sharing, video streaming and push email.
"We foresee that already this year, the camera phone market will grow to be over four times the size of the digital camera market" said Juha Putkiranta, Senior Vice President, Multimedia Imaging, Nokia.
