ATARI:
FROM MARBLE MADNESS TO BALLANCE
Marble Madness was one of the first of the ATARI System One games (Horizontal screen Twin trackballs). The objective of the game was to guide a marble through a torturous 3D maze avoiding precipices and an assortment of traps and hazards.
20 years later, ATARI is the publisher of Ballance, a combination of a puzzle and a game of skill where the player has to move the ball (the ball's physical properties can change during the game) through a hovering maze of paths and rails (which sometimes remind you of the "Myst Island"). I enjoyed a lot the intriguing ambient Music very much, the very realistic Sound FX which when combined with a hi-res screen transform the game into an interactive spiritual experience :)
This is an addictive game for a wide audience.
