A NEW TREND IN MUSIC PROMOTION
Sony Music has just announced that they have signed a music promotion deal with EA.
The interesting aspect is that the collaboration between the giant of video games and the big recording label is setting the stage for three new trends:
Pre-Releases of Songs via game releases.
For instance, the EA game "NFL Street" will contain a number of pre-release songs by famous Sony artists.
Game-Themed Music Videos.
This new species of music videos will feature gameplay footage combined with songs (singles for radio) extracted from the game soundtrack.
A Bonus Disc containing a Game Demo when purchasing new music releases.
