ENVIRONMENTALLY-RESPONSIBLE SUV?
Ford Model U features night vision technology for collision avoidance and a natural speech interface for navigation. This SUV is powered by a 2.3-liter supercharged, intercooled hydrogen internal combustion engine mated to an electric transmission.
The Model U has got soy-based body panels, seat foam and grease as well as corn-based tires and sunflower-seed-based engine oil. Much of the Model U can be recycled or is biodegradable so as not to further pollute the soil when its life is over.
Ready to buy? We hope this is not a prototype for pr purposes, as has so often occurred with so called green vehicles in the past. Could this be a sign of things to come, or a modern version of Cheech's van from "Up in Smoke"?
