NINTENDO IS NOT ALONE ANYMORE... FIRST NOKIA WITH THE N-GAGE AND NOW SONY WITH THE HANDHELD ENTERTAINMENT PLATFORM
Sony's upcoming PSP device (Handheld Playstation) will feature a color screen, computing power equal to the original best-selling PlayStation and a new high-capacity optical disc created especially for it.
At E3, Illka Raiskinen (SVP Entertainment and Media, Nokia Mobile Phones) announced the N-Gage release date and pricing:
:: On October 7th 2003 Nokia plans to have the N-Gage in stores worldwide (except Korea and Japan).
:: Expected retail price is $299, with a similar price (in euros) for the EU.
:: Game Cards will cost between $30 and $40. There will be ten titles at launch.
Nokia hopes to have 10 million units sold in 24 months.
