INTEL MOVES INTO SMARTPHONES CHIPS
Leading chipmaker Intel announced availability of new chips, codenamed 'Manitoba', for smartphones and other wireless devices. The chips combine a StrongARM core (at up to 312 MHz), 4 MB of flash memory, a GSM/GPRS baseband processor, and various other goodies into a single package for easy construction of powerful handsets.
